In Quantum mode
Carl Jung saw in synchronicity a principle of acausal connection. Quantum mode embodies this idea: every casting is a unique moment where the cosmos responds. For a personalized interpretation, use MING AI.
The three-coin method
“Quantum randomness is not noise — it is the voice of the universe before it makes up its mind.”
— Jungian inspiration
Personalized and confidential analyses (end-to-end encrypted and never saved) with MING AI, trained on the I Ching.
The I Ching is not fortune-telling. It is a mirror of wisdom that helps you see what you already know, but dare not face.
For millennia, emperors, generals, and sages of China consulted the I Ching before every important decision. This ancient wisdom is now in your hands — for free.
The I Ching does not predict the future. It illuminates the present. It shows you the forces at play in your situation and the possible transformations. It is a dialogue with ancient wisdom.
Every casting is unique. Six throws of three coins build a hexagram among 4,096 possible combinations. The oracle's answer is always personal.
Compare Wilhelm, Philastre, Legge, and Doublet Phd in anthropology. See the nuances between interpretations. No other app in the world offers this depth.
Available in 13 languages. The I Ching has never been this accessible — whether you speak French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, or Arabic.
Three steps. One minute. One answer.
Formulate what concerns you. The oracle answers sincere questions about real situations.

The oracle responds best to open questions. Not “Will I win the lottery?” but rather “What is the nature of my current situation?” or “How should I approach this decision?”. Formulate your question with sincerity and an open mind.
The I Ching (易經), or Book of Changes, is humanity's oldest wisdom system, born in China over 3,000 years ago. It uses 64 hexagrams with six lines to illuminate your present situation and its possible transformations. It doesn't predict a fixed future — it reveals the dynamics of the moment.
~3000 BC — 🐢 The Turtle of the Lo River
The first Book of Changes is said to be a giant turtle that emerged from the Lo River, bearing on its shell spots forming a magic square — the numbers 1 to 9 arranged so their sum was always 15.
~2800 BC — 伏羲 Fuxi Creates the Eight Trigrams
The mythical sovereign Fuxi ordered the world according to eight principles: Heaven, Earth, Thunder, Mountain, Water, Fire, Lake, and Wind. Each trigram results from another by changing a single line — knowledge of these transformations allows one to foresee the future.
~1150 BC — ♕ King Wen Creates the 64 Hexagrams
Imprisoned by the tyrant Chou Hsin in 1143 BC, King Wen combined trigrams in pairs to create a more elaborate system of 64 hexagrams. His son Wu and brother the Duke of Zhou completed the work by writing commentaries on the lines.
~500 BC — 孔子 Confucius Writes the “Ten Wings”
Fascinated by the Book of Changes, Confucius wrote the Ten Wings — commentaries connecting I Ching principles to all of ancient Chinese philosophy. He studied the book so intensely that he wore out the leather straps binding his bamboo tablets three times.
~1690 — 🌎 The West Discovers the Yi King
Jesuits residing in Beijing introduced the Yi King to Europe. The philosopher Leibniz found in the binary system of yin and yang the same principles as his numbering system using 0 and 1.
1882–1885 — 📖 The First Scholarly Translations
James Legge published the first English translation (1882). Paul-Louis-Félix Philastre produced the first French translation (1885).
1924 — 📕 Richard Wilhelm Reveals the Yi King to the West
Wilhelm's German translation, by the Protestant missionary and friend of Jung, truly revealed the Yi King to Western audiences. Jung wrote the preface in 1951. Brecht, Hesse, John Cage marveled at it. The American counterculture of the sixties embraced it.
1999 — 💻 Birth of Virtual I-Ching
First online version, created in Montréal, Québec. Supported by the Government of Québec and the Alliance Numérique du Québec (2001). One of the oldest I Ching oracles online in the world.
2007 — 📚 Marie-Noëlle Doublet, PhD
Publication of “Mieux vivre avec le Yi King” (Éditions Eyrolles) by Marie-Noëlle Doublet, doctor of anthropology. Her contemporary interpretation joined Virtual I-Ching as the primary translation.

Virtual I-Ching was created in June 1999 in Montréal, Québec. It is one of the oldest I Ching oracles online in the world. The project was supported by the Government of Québec and the Alliance Numérique du Québec. The vMING version, launched in 2026, integrates artificial intelligence and certified quantum casting.
The original method used 50 yarrow stalks — a long and complex ritual reserved for initiates. During the Ming Dynasty, a quiet revolution: three coins replaced the stalks. Simpler. More accessible. The I Ching became the people's oracle.
It is in tribute to this democratization that we named this version vMING.
Each coin has two sides: Yin (2 points) and Yang (3 points). Three tosses yield a sum between 6 and 9, determining the line type:
Six lines. One hexagram. Your answer.
Zen mode is free and unlimited. Toss the three coins yourself with a click and receive the oracle's answer. Compare the 4 scholarly translations (Doublet, Wilhelm, Legge, Philastre) to deepen your understanding.
Quantum mode uses a true random number generator (QRNG) based on quantum vacuum fluctuations. Every casting is unique and unpredictable. Combined with MING AI, you get a personalized interpretation of your hexagram.
MING AI is an artificial intelligence specialized in I Ching interpretation. MING AI knows all 64 hexagrams, 384 lines, and the 4 available translations (Doublet, Wilhelm, Legge, Philastre). It analyzes your question, your changing lines, and the context of your hexagram to offer a personalized and deep interpretation. MING AI consumes 1 consultation per use.

Marie-Noëlle Doublet — Doctor of Anthropology (PhD) — Éditions Eyrolles, 2007
Author of “Mieux vivre avec le Yi King” (Éditions Eyrolles, 2007), Marie-Noëlle Doublet offers an accessible, popular version of the I Ching focused on personal development and daily introspection.
Her interpretation is one of four translations available in Virtual I-Ching — alongside the classic texts of Richard Wilhelm (1923), James Legge (1882), and Paul-Louis-Félix Philastre (1885).
Four perspectives on the same oracle — from personal development to sinological erudition, choose the voice that resonates with you.
Marie-Noëlle Doublet holds a PhD in anthropology and is the author of “Mieux vivre avec le Yi King” (Éditions Eyrolles, 2007). Her contemporary interpretation, focused on personal development and introspection, is one of the 4 translations available in Virtual I-Ching, alongside the classic texts of Wilhelm, Legge, and Philastre.
Paul-Louis-Félix Philastre (1837–1902) — French naval officer and colonial administrator in Indochina, self-taught sinologist. He learned Classical Chinese in the field and devoted years to studying the Yi King.
His translation (Le Yi King, 1885) is the first complete French translation, made directly from Classical Chinese. Remarkably erudite, it includes the commentary of Tchéng Tse (11th century) and remains an essential reference for Francophones.
James Legge (1815–1897) — Scottish sinologist, first professor of Chinese at Oxford University. He translated all the Confucian Chinese classics in the famous Sacred Books of the East collection (50 volumes).
His translation of the Yi King (The I Ching, 1882) remains the English-language academic reference. Rigorously faithful to the Chinese text, it prioritizes philological precision over free interpretation.
Richard Wilhelm (1873–1930) — German sinologist and missionary who lived 25 years in China, studying under Master Lao Nai-Hsüan. His translation of the Yi King (I Ging — Das Buch der Wandlungen, 1924) is considered the most influential of the 20th century.
Carl Gustav Jung wrote the preface to the English translation (1950), calling the work “a great work of the human spirit.” Wilhelm's approach combines sinological rigor with psychological depth.
Virtual I-Ching vMING is available in 13 languages: French, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, German, Russian, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hindi, and Thai. The language is detected automatically based on your geographic location.
Sixty-four hexagrams. Six stacked lines — solid or broken — forming a mirror of your present situation. The oracle does not predict a fixed future. It illuminates the moment and its possible transformations.
In ancient China, emperors made no important decision without consulting the I Ching. Generals consulted it before battle. Sages used it to understand the flow of change — the Tao.
The oracle demands one thing: sincerity. A fresh mind, free of prejudice, ready to receive what comes. And to understand the meaning if you are not a scholar, MING AI will interpret for you according to your chosen translation.
Take a moment. Formulate your question. The oracle awaits.
